MY WORK
Choreographic Philosophy
As a movement artist, I am drawn to movement that blends emotion and power. My movement is inspired by artists who paved the way for modern dance to become a form that speaks truthfully about the nature of the human experience. I believe that expressive movement artists are individuals who use movement and body to portray complex human emotion. Whether it be to depict fear and shame, or love and pain, movement that incorporates the body and soul communicates something real, legible, and meaningful. All of this inspires what kind of choreography I create.
